INTERVIEW
Q. What is the school's educational policy, philosophy and style?
Jikei Gakuen High School is based on three main pillars: practical education, humane education, and international education. Our school counts with a unique program of professional lessons, which is one of the characteristics that make our school attractive.
On Misaka Campus, we will carry out regular lessons in the morning and specialized classes in the afternoon: sports or advanced education. We have five courses in the sport area: women's football, tennis, golf, kendo, and relay racing; and three classes in the Department of Advanced Education: medicine/pharmaceutics, medical care/welfare, and robotics/programming. The students can select the subjects that better suits their goals and interests. The other Learning Support Center includes diverse activities such as dance and music.
Furthermore, our students will have the chance to obtain more specialized education through the school's collaboration with Mimasaka Sports Medical Nursing College.
Mimasaka Campus counts with 80 members of the staff per academic year. Under this environment, students count with excellent support to accomplish their goals and realize their dreams.
Q. Why did you decide to change the school uniform?
The central factor when selecting the uniforms was to make something that the students would like to wear. After all, the students are the main characters of the school, not the faculty staff. We wanted the students to feel proud of belonging to Jikei Gakuen High School, and to wear the uniforms gracefully.
The uniform was chosen through a survey we conducted in other school's homepages and SNS. We let other high school students vote for their favorite design, and this one was the most voted one. The questionnaire was carried out for only about three weeks, but the number of votes exceeded 500.
This uniform is the result of the efforts of the faculty staff and the ideas toward the new students enrolled.

Comment from the designer
The blazer is mainly navy blue. The pure white piping that suiting a departure of a new high school born in Mimasaka city and the embroidery of the school emblem at the chest expresse the expectation for the future. The red ribbon which imaged the flower of plum blossoms, which is the official city tree of Mimasaka, is coordinated.
