Q. What is the school's educational policy, philosophy and style?
Abundant nature surrounds Ashikita high school; it is the only high school in Ashikita blessed with sea and mountain. It specializes in three disciplines: forestry, agriculture and welfare, which extend the individuality of each student. That's why it is the school where is possible to make dreams come true.
In our school, students often enrol with a purpose, and they come here to acquire a practical training that incorporates the necessities that take to live in the current society, where habits can be granted. The students' opinions are taken into consideration which develops in them the ability to safely communicate an idea. We also have to guide them and prepare them for their lives after school.
It is important that our students go to university and join the public employment forces, whether as employees of large enterprises, civil servants or government officials.
Q. Why did you decide to change the school uniform?
Many seniors who graduated from our school in Ashikita turn out to be an excellent talent and has been responsible for the administration of regional industries. The school opened as Ashikita Agricultural and Forestry School in 1921, and after a hundred years in 2021, we wish that the alumni association still wants to nurture students that challenge the global society boldly.
Following this background, I decided to change uniforms. Through specialized education, the process of raising students is flapping the whole country, the world and of course, our prefecture.
Our school has had good results in national conventions, agricultural clubs and competitions in agricultural and forestry matters, as well as welfare and technology, and our high school students have had a lot of opportunities to be noticed. We wanted that the school uniform to transmit the confidence of our students when they stand on stage.
